Ryan Watkins played for Wales u12, u13 and Captained the u14 and u15 sides. Has played for England u19 and Wales Minor Counties teams. Made debut for Glamorgan in a One Day game live on Sky TV. In 2005 made 5 County Championship appearances for Glamorgan and achieved a highest score of 41 runs.
How did you start playing sport?
Going along to watch my father play cricket when I was younger and took an interest from there.
What sports did you play when you were a child?
Football, rugby, cricket, golf and whatever else I had time for.
What do you enjoy about sport?
I enjoy taking part in a team, travelling around the country and abroad.
How do you keep fit and healthy?
Through playing sport and visits to the gym; healthy eating!
Who was the biggest influence on your sporting career?
My parents for supporting me in whatever I chose to do.
How important do you think Dragon Sport is?
Very important for the work with children in promoting sport through youngsters in Wales.
What impact do you think it will have on Welsh sport?
An improvement in the development of youth sport.
