How did you start playing sport?
I started at school - I always enjoyed taking part in PE and it went from there. I joined Bridgend athletics club when I was 17 and was coached by Roy Anthony.
What sports did you play when you were a child?
Swimming, archery, tennis, basketball, indoor hockey, athletics - you name it I did it.
What do you enjoy about sport?
I like training. I like making my self work really hard so that I can improve and I enjoy competing - this is one of the things that motivates me to train hard.
Who was the biggest influence on your sporting career?
I remember watching the London marathon in the 1980's and thinking that was what I wanted to do.
