GAME:
MONKEYS AND BABOONS

PLAYING THE GAME:
Working within a confined area, split the group in 2. Half the group stand at point A and are given bibs to be placed in the back of their shorts. The bibs should be Sticking Out as if it were a tail. These are the Monkeys. The other players, without bibs, are sent to point B, these are the Baboons.

The idea of the game is that each individual Baboon wants to become a monkey and to do so they must steal a Monkeys tail.

On the shout of Go the Baboons and Monkeys all enter The Jungle - the area between their two homes.

If a Baboon captures a Monkeys tail, they swap roles and before carrying on must run back into the appropriate base (e.g. This gives someone who has just grabbed a bib the chance to go to a safe area, put on their tail and re-enter The Jungle as a Monkey). Who will be the Monkeys when the teacher calls Stop?

VARIATIONS:

Monkeys Tails
All players have a bib in the back of their shorts - Each player attempts to grab as many bibs as possible without losing their own tail. Only one bib at a time can be grabbed.
