Draw a picture of something related to sport and then try to get your partner to draw the same picture through verbal communication you are not allowed to tell them what it is!
In groups of three one person makes a shape with their body, e.g. holding a cricket bat, and one person trys to put the other person into the same position with touching them, or telling them what they are doing.
CLASS MOVES
CLEAR YOUR CORNER Set out four cones or hoops in a square. Put up to 5 beanbags in each corner. Children stand at each corner (1 3 children in each). On GO, one child from each corner pick up one of their own beanbags and takes it to another corner. Each child returns to their own corner and either continues to clear more beanbags (if they are on their own), or they tag the next player, who does the same. The winner is the first player / team to clear their corner.
SUSIE'S IDEA When you have access to a hall, play games using pairs of children. E.g. for hockey gateway, put the children into pairs and put each pair on a cone spaced around the grid. When they start the first person in each pair would go and dribble through a gate and then back to their partner, who would then go and dribble through a gate etc. This means you only have half the children active on the grid, but everyone is involved and makes the games safer in smaller areas. |
