How did you start playing sport?
My parents are both really sporty and encouraged me to try a number of different sports.
What sports did you play when you were a child?
Gymnastics, swimming, athletics, netball, and hockey.
What do you enjoy about sport?
Meeting new people, achieving goals, feeling fit.
How do you keep fit and healthy?
Healthy diet, train regularly (run lots - no I didnt say that!).
Who was the biggest influence on your sporting career?
My mother.
How important do you think Dragon Sport is? What impact do you think it will have on Welsh sport?
Not all parents encourage their children to participate in sport. People who play sport from a young age are more likely to keep it up throughout their lives. Dragon sport encourages young people to participate in sport, older people to get qualified and teach sport in a way which makes it enjoyable for kids. Hopefully if more kids are encouraged to play sport at a young age, Wales will have more top athletes. |
